Vikings Conference 2008: Service Tasks

Service Team

In Finland service is a natural element for all the participants in any Bahá'í happening, even for the children. We want to uphold this wonderful element in this conference as well. To keep the costs down everything in this conference will be done through voluntary work. We want to give each of the participants a chance/an opportunity to do this service to others. This is how it works:

In the conference there will be a service team walking around and asking people to do small acts of service, like cleaning the corridors, sweeping tables, etc. Everything is well coordinated, and it will not be hard to know what to do and how or when to do it. This will only take a small portion of your time and at the same time you get to know other participants with whom you share the same service task. We hope that everyone can serve like this at least once or twice during the conference and so help the organisers make the atmosphere of the conference even more unified.

If you want to join the service team (the people who ask others and give them information of the service tasks) contact the task force or sign up for service team when registering to the conference.

Security Team

The conference security is performed by voluntary guards, who work in shifts around the clock organized and coordinated by the person responsible for security. If you want to join the security team to ensure the peacefulness of the conference, please contact Taneli Laurinolli at , if you haven't already done so when registering to the conference.
